Personal
I am a dedicated family man, happily married to my wife, Sheila, for 10 wonderful years. Together, we’ve built a supportive and loving home, raising my talented 21-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, who continues to inspire me daily. Beyond family, I’ve pursued personal growth with a transformative fitness journey that gained media attention, including being featured in the Toronto Sun for my commitment to health and discipline. Recently, challenges with atrial fibrillation have tested my dedication to fitness and running. Despite these obstacles, I remain committed to maintaining an active lifestyle and embracing resilience as a core value in my life.
Professional
With over a decade of experience in education, I’ve committed myself to fostering innovative, student-centered learning environments. I specialize in delivering Manitoba’s curriculum for grades 3-6 while integrating 21st-century teaching practices like technology-enhanced learning and global competencies. My contributions extend beyond the classroom—leading professional development initiatives, shaping new curriculum frameworks for Manitoba Education, and mentoring peers. Prior to my teaching career, I honed leadership and organizational skills as a Restaurant General Manager and Area Field Trainer, where I oversaw operations, training, and team development.
Education
I am proud to hold a Master’s of Education from the University of Prince Edward Island, focusing on 21st-century teaching and learning. This program deepened my expertise in leadership, technology integration, and inclusive practices, equipping me to meet the diverse needs of today’s learners. My academic foundation also includes a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Winnipeg, coupled with a Business Administration diploma from Red River College. These qualifications, combined with ongoing professional development, drive my passion for lifelong learning and educational excellence.
